Cory Rade has been farming since 1996. Cory is fulfilling his childhood dream of being a farmer, even after many years as a chimney sweep. He is a self-taught farmer and his favorite part about farming is growing, picking, roasting and eating chiles. He also loves introducing customers to new vegetables they end up loving, despite being skeptical at first, such as the now infamous Japanese salad turnips (For more ideas on how to use salad turnips and all the rest of our produce, visit our new blog, The Purloined Recipe.)

Shanti Rade came into farming by chance through a high school internship, and after working on many different farms, went back to school to get a degree in Agroecology from Prescott College. Her favorite part about farming is the joy she gets from harvesting and eating something she has planted herself - seeing the transformation from a seed into human sustenance. Shanti also enjoys growing flowers that bring beauty to the garden and to many local dining room tables - she is excited about her new venture into providing flowers for weddings.

Gibson, Cooper, Olive and Jasper help with all parts of the farm from planting to selling at the market
We often have employees, interns, international volunteers, college students or CSA members helping us at the farm as well, who you are sure to meet if you come out to the farm for a visit.
