When The Stars Align
This is the week we wait for all year, when the stars align. The week when all the good crops come in simultaneously. We have a mountain of green beans, a literal ton of melons, the eggplant is abundant, the field tomatoes are in, the flowers are off the hook, we have okra, black eyed peas, cucumbers, peppers and so, so much more. While this is usually happening for many many weeks of the summer most years, this year has been so late and rather disappointing on the whole. This is the first week when the crops finally feel like summer, but the weather is already starting to feel like fall. But, whatever, I am no longer worried about what the season should be, we are just taking things as they come. Feeling grateful for all the small wins and any crop that does do well. But, I will say, you do not want to miss the market this week!!
The dahlia field is exploding right now, wait, maybe I already said that last week. Well, it is exploding even more so this week. You should come to the market, if just to check out the dahlia diversity. Also - we will still be having a dahlia sale. (1 bunch for $8 or 3 for $20 - buy some for your friends, it honestly is the MOST amazing feeling to give flowers away).
Chile roasting is in full swing. And if that doesn't give you all the fall feels, I don't know what else could do it.
The Prescott Farmers Market is holding their annual Farm to Table dinner this Sunday. We are looking forward to celebrating with amazingly prepared local food and honoring our local community of farmers and food producers. This event means a lot to us and we are so proud to be providing vegetables and flowers again this year. I'll be sure to share some photos with you all, or maybe even see you there.

And a quick shout out to our amazing farm crew - they work their butts off this time of year and we sincerely appreciate their dedication and love for this farm. We would be nothing without this big extended family that we have, turning the wheels and making all this magic happen.
